This month we’ll be discussing Claire of the Sea Light by Edwidge Danticat. On the night her fisherman father decides to give her to a wealthier woman, seven-year-old Claire disappears. Set in a small Haitian village haunted by poverty, the rich inner lives of the people come to life in Danticat’s vivid language.
